TFW- MMA Striking
The MMA Striking set has truly revitalized TrainFightWin. Back to the basics of MMA, and right to the heart of it. It is great to see the basic setups and combinations covered in this video set broken down into such detail. I am impressed with the way that they take you all the way from the basic stance and correct steps all the way through defending leg kicks and setting up combos.
While this set has many great attributes, there is one aspect of it that truly set it apart from other striking series in my mind- and that is the correct stepping sections. While many other video sets cover the steps for setting up one or two shots, TFW goes through the correct steps for both offense and defense. They break down the concept as a whole, and you quickly see how to “step with intent” as they call it. Another great concept that was broken down was in the punching. Richard says “Punches do three things: Blind; Measure; and Damage.” Though I never thought of it this way, he is exactly right!
At the price, this set is a steal. TFW says they will be releasing more striking sets next year- and this one will be the first building block. I HIGHLY suggest investing in it. Because of the superior content and the MMA Roots that TFW got back to on this set, it receives all 5 stars!
